Environmental StewardshipEnvironmental Stewardship Focus Area
Michigan State University (MSU) is a large and complex community with an array of diverse inputs and interacting processes resulting in a variety of outputs. The environmental footprint of MSU is both local and global - from waste streams to local landfills to greenhouse gasses that affect the global climate.
Our aim is to use a collaborative team approach with students, faculty and staff to analyze our system of inputs, outputs and processes to look for places where we can reduce the university's environmental footprint and increase the efficiency of its materials and energy usage.
Environmental Stewardship education and outreach is shared with the MSU community through the Be Spartan Green campaign.
Team Leader: Kathy Lindahl, Assistant Vice President for Finance & Operations
